Our Story

Harbor Church began with a group of 8 people fasting and praying about the possibility of a new church in Wichita, KS. They gathered daily for the 5 days of their fast to pray together and seek God's will.

Shortly after the fast and prayer, a core team of people began gathering weekly for Launch Team meetings at Nameless Coffee Co. Within 6 weeks, Harbor Church had outgrown the coffee shop and was ready for launch! 

Leading up to the launch, we got to see God inspire people to give so generously that our start-up costs were covered, two brand new trailers were provided, and all of our staffing needs were filled with people who jumped at the opportunity to play a part in what God is doing.
On September 14, 2025, Harbor Church held its first public service at Wilbur Middle School in West Wichita. It was an amazing worship celebration as there were people from all walks of life who showed up and worshiped Jesus together! 

Currently, we're a portable church, setting up and tearing down each week. There are some AMAZING volunteers who show up each week to make that happen! We look forward to eventually having a permeant facility to call home, but for now, we'll continue to strive to honor God, love people, worship extravagantly, and walk in obedience to Jesus Christ!
