Make Us Bold

Boldness is not a personality trait. It is a calling for every follower of Jesus. In Acts chapter four, Peter and John stood before the very council that condemned Jesus to death and refused to stay silent. Their courage was not self-generated. It came from a deep conviction that Jesus was alive and that salvation is found in no one else. True boldness shows up in what we say, how we live, and whether we choose obedience to God even when it costs us something. Bold people are not people who are never afraid. They are people who know where to take their fear. They take it to the feet of Jesus.
